Under
the leadership of the Cleveland Arts Prizes first chairperson,
Martha Joseph, an endowment was created in 1985 through the generosity
of the following benefactors:

Lucile and Robert H. Gries Charity Fund
The
George Gund Foundation Kulas Foundation
The
Treuhaft Fund of The Cleveland Foundation
Anonymous
Donors
Income
from the endowment fund helps the Cleveland Arts Prize Committee
continue its annual celebration of creative achievement. Investment
of the principal is managed by The Cleveland Foundation.
A
mini-endowment campaign undertaken in the summer of 2000 raised
$8,300 in new gifts made in honor of Mary Louise Hahn for her decade
of service as chairperson of the Cleveland Arts Prize.
