The Robert P. Bergman Prize

Since 2000, the Cleveland Arts Prize has given special recognition to those rare individuals whose innovative vision and persistent efforts have brought new audiences to the arts. As director of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the late Bob Bergman showed what could be done by charismatic and dedicated individuals determined to help people of all ages and widely diverse backgrounds discover the relevance and power of art in their daily lives. The Bergman Prize, which is only awarded from time to time, honors and recognizes such gifted communicators and their distinctive leadership styles and contributions.
