George Bilgere wins Ohioana Poetry Award    

 Cleveland poet George Bilgere wins the Ohioana Helen and Laura Krout Memorial Poetry Award from the Ohioana Library Association, for the Ohio poet who made significant contributions to poetry in the state. The proffesor at John Carroll University has also won the Cleveland Arts Prize, the May Swenson Poetry Award, and fellowships from the Ohio Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
