Andrew Borowiec, winner of the 2006 Cleveland Arts Prize in the Visual Arts, will speak about his photography on Wednesday, February 7, at 1:00PM, at the Beck Center for the Arts, 17801 Detroit Road, Lakewood. The lecture is sponsored by the 21st Century Club.
Borowiec moved to Northeast Ohio after receiving his MFA in photography from Yale University. He has been a professor at the University of Akron since 1984 and has served as the Director of the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art from 1990 to 1995. His photographs have been exhibited widely and are in the collections of the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Photography. |
