Nathaniel Beau Hancock 2009 Kathryn Karipides Scholarship Winner
He is currently a University Fellow at Temple University pursuing his MFA in Dance. He earned a BA in Dance and American Studies from the University of Kansas, and was a founding member of the Bowery Dancers, a Lawrence-based movement collective. His choreography has been presented at the Merce Cunningham Studio, Wesbeth Art Gallery, Movement Research at Dance Theater Workshop, Lied Center Kansas, the Lawrence Arts Center, and the Flea Theater. Beau has taught master classes and workshops at the University of Kansas, Indiana University, Wayne State University, Café Dance, Movement Research, and CHI Movement Arts Center. As a performer, Beau has had the pleasure to work with Ben Munisteri Dance Projects, Ellen Cornfield/ cornfield dance, Susan Warden/ 940 Dance Company, Cohan/Suzeau Dance Company, Jennifer Kayle, Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance, and Douglas Dunn and Dancers.
